The following include some of the projects with which our Community is currently involved:

Angel Tree A project which provides Christmas presents for prisoners’ children in approximately 60 prisons throughout the country. Local Prison Fellowship volunteer groups raise funds and work with churches and prison chaplains to buy and deliver the presents. Each gift is sent as though from the parent in prison who is also able to write a personal message to their child. If the parent permits it, a Christian story book is also sent.

The Pastoral Care Project is a Christian charity working with the wider community to raise awareness of the spiritual needs of the frail elderly and to enable carers to support them in their journey to the fullness of life. The project came into being after one of the founding members had visited a lady who, though suffering from blindness and dementia, showed that she had a spiritual awareness. This visit was inspirational in highlighting the unmet spiritual and pastoral needs of those suffering with dementia related illness. Each person is special and it is often in our weaknesses that we find God.

The Prayer Trust does all it can to encourage the use of prayer by everyone, everywhere. One simple prayer can be the turning point in someone’s life, the key that unlocks the treasures of God’s love! It is hoped that these little booklets will be shared with others – friends, relatives, neighbours and colleagues, with those who might be ill or suffering, or those who feel far away from the Lord’s love. The booklets contain very beautiful prayers and photographs and are produced by the Trust at a minimal cost, so join us in spreading the word by sharing these lovely and inspiring booklets with others.
